Yo
Happy New Year 🎉🎉🎉🎉
It’s January 1st. Right now, the "New Year, New Me" energy is at an all-time high. The gyms are packed, the planners are pristine, and everyone is promising that this is the year they finally go all-in on their content.
But history tells us that by February 1st, most of those voices will go silent.
I’m always surprised by how many creators quit within those first 30 days. They post for a few weeks, refresh the analytics, and when nothing "viral" happens, they assume the niche is dead or they don’t have "it."
They’re running a 90-day game on a 30-day New Year’s resolution timer.
Today, I want to show you why 90 days is the real unit of measurement for growth.
30 Days isn’t enough
The first 30 days of posting are messy by design.
Views swing.
Hooks aren’t sharp yet.
The platform is still figuring out who your content is even for.
Judging your strategy here usually leads to bad moves:
quitting too early
pivoting without real data
assuming “this isn’t working” when it hasn’t even started
Early performance tells you almost nothing about long-term potential.

The 90-day structure that actually works
Each 30-day phase has a different job.
Treating them the same is where most people mess this up.
Month 1: Build Signal (Days 1–30)
Goal: Volume + variety
What to do:
Pick 3–4 content pillars you actually enjoy
Post every day (1–3 times if you can)
Batch shoot and batch edit
Don’t optimize yet
This phase is about giving the platform enough data to work with.
Month 2: Double Down (Days 31–60)
Goal: Pattern recognition
Now you look at:
What consistently crosses view thresholds
Which formats outperform others
Which topics people actually stay for
What to do:
Post more of what’s winning
Cut back on what isn’t
Keep daily consistency
This is where things start to feel clearer.
Month 3: Amplify What Works (Days 61–90)
Goal: Leverage
What to do:
Keep posting daily
Re-post winning content using trial reels
Let non-followers see proven ideas as “new”
At this point, you’re not experimenting blindly.
You’re scaling what’s already validated.
Pro Tip
Don’t change the strategy mid-phase.
Each month has one job.
Let it finish before you judge it.
You can’t control the algorithm, timing, or luck. You can control posting time, testing volume and sticking to the full 90 days. This is where confidence should come from.
Your Mission for Today
Keep it simple.
✅ Commit to a 90-day window
✅ Pick 3–4 content pillars
✅ Decide your daily posting minimum
✅ Promise yourself you won’t panic-pivot before Day 30

Stop thinking you’re not behind when you’re not. Literally.
You’re probably judging yourself too fast.
Give it 90 days.
Worst case? You get better at creating.
Best case? You go viral and pretend it “happened overnight.”

— Kien
