Yo. What’s up.
Every creator gets told the same thing: your content needs to be Educational, Entertaining, and Emotional. Hit all three, and you win.
But here is what I noticed watching creators burn out across platforms: trying to be all three in every post is what kills your momentum.
The creators who grow consistently? They pick one E and go deep.
Today I'll show you:
Why trying to hit all three E's makes your content forgettable
How to identify your strongest E (and double down)
When you can expand beyond one E without losing focus
Let's zoom in. 👇

The "hit all three" rule is a trap.
I get asked this constantly: should you try to hit all three E's in every piece of content?
My answer depends on format length.
For short-form video (under 60 seconds), I focus on one. For longer-form content (YouTube videos, deep posts), I layer in two or all three.
Here is why: short-form is about immediate impact. You have seconds to grab attention. Trying to educate, entertain, and evoke emotion in 15 seconds is like trying to write a novel in a tweet.
You end up with something that does none of them well.
The one-E rule for short-form
Pick your strongest E and make it the entire point.
Educational: "Here is the exact framework I use"
Entertaining: "I tried the worst content advice possible"
Emotional: "I almost quit right before this happened"
When you narrow to one, your hook sharpens. Your message crystallizes. Your audience knows exactly what they are getting.
The expansion principle:
Here’s the formula I use to craft hooks that actually stop the scroll:
[Trigger] + [Tension] + [Timeframe]
Once your single E is dialed in, you can add supporting elements.
An educational video can be entertaining through storytelling.
An emotional post can educate through vulnerability.
Entertaining content can hit emotional notes through relatability.
But the foundation stays clear. One primary E. Supporting elements are seasoning, not the main course.

This week:
Pick one of your recent posts. Identify which E it was trying to hit. Now ask: was it the strongest E for that format?
If not, rewrite the hook to focus on one E only.
Post it without trying to make it everything.
I want to see what you narrow down to. Hit reply and tell me which E you are doubling down on this week.
The internet will keep evolving. That's not a threat — it's normal.
If you build something the platform can't take away, your skill, your speed, your adaptability, you won't panic when it shifts.
You'll just adjust.
Let's grow. 💥
