Yo,
If you’ve been reading my emails the past week, you already know that…
Creating from scratch every day = burnout
Batching content = freedom
I wanted to give you bigger picture though.
Here’s the laziest step-by-step way to grow your content:
1) Content research
Follow at least 10–15 creators in your niche
This will customize your algorithm to show more content in your niche (yes, you can actually do this).
Then find 10–15 reels that blew up in the last 30 days and use them as inspo. That means recreating them in your style and point of view, not 1:1 copying.
2) Smart Creation
Shoot on your phone, it’s quicker, easier and removes any excuses you have about fancy gear (but, if you are looking to upgrade your camera, make sure to enter the Creator Challenge to win a DJI Osmo Nano worth $350 😉).
Use the Instagram Edit app or CapCut for easy editing.
Trim dead air in first 3 seconds and add a text hook on screen matching what you say out loud.
Play around with this though. Use your research and the ideas we give you in the Sunday Edition for inspiration.
Your hook, audio, AND first frame all need to work together.
3) Retention First
So you’ve hooked them in the first three seconds, now what?
Cut every pause, filler word, and slow moment.
Try looping the ending back to the beginning. This forces a rewatch.
Watch time + replays = Algorithm pushes it to more people.
4) Post Like You Mean It
Using this approach along with the B-roll strategy I shared in my last two emails, you can easily lock 1–2 hours to batch 5–7 reels in one session (if not more).
Schedule them so you’re posting daily without burning out.
Use the 60-40 rule: memorize 40% of your script, cover the rest with B-roll.
Consistency isn’t about being the most disciplined: it’s about preparation.
5) Repeat What Works
Find your best-performing reels, recreate and remix them. Again and again and again 😊
Reminder: you have until April 29 to submit your entry to the Creator Challenge.
The winner gets a DJI Osmo Nano worth $350!
This camera is small enough to have on you constantly, so it’s the perfect tool to start building your personal B-roll library.
Requirements to enter the challenge to win a DJI Osmo Nano, ending April 29, 2026:
You must be a paid newsletter subscriber to enter the challenge. If you’re already a premium subscriber, you’re ready to go! If not, sign up here.
Create any video using the new ‘Edit’ app on Instagram.
Post it on your social, and tag @kienobifilms on Instagram.
Then I’ll pick my favorite video, and that person will win a DJI Osmo Nano!!!
